From something not unlike an informal lighting workshop. That is, Anna is a photographer as well (http://www.flickr.com/photos/rosasabrosa/), and we spent a bit of time working with studio lights, looking at how to make the light you want, how to shape it, how to use it to say something about your subject, etc. This was a dry run for me; I’d like to get into more instruction, because it’s only through trying to teach a subject that you realize how much more you have to learn. :)
Anna took a bunch of photos of me looking like a photographer, because I really don’t have that much in the way of belly dance costume pieces. Oh, well.
